What is Restylane?

While it’s impossible to eliminate the effects of aging altogether, you can restore youthful volume and fullness to your facial features with Restylane.

Restylane is a family of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, including Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft, Restylane, Restylane Kysse, Restylane Refyne, and Restylane Defyne. Restylane is an FDA-approved dermal filler that fills in facial wrinkles and adds volume and fullness to your face.

Keep reading to learn more about how Restylane can play a part in your anti-aging arsenal.

How does Restylane work?

Dermal fillers are facial injections that help diminish wrinkles and restore volume and fullness to the face. Restylane is a dermal filler that’s made of transparent hyaluronic acids. These acids are naturally found in the skin, and they provide hydration, fullness, and elasticity.

When Restylane is injected into the skin, its hyaluronic acid helps increase fullness and volume in the skin. Increasing fullness can reduce the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and wrinkle folds and restore your facial contours. This minimally invasive, clinically proven treatment will help you achieve the most natural-looking appearance.

There are a few different types of Restylane used for different parts of the face. All five are made from hyaluronic acid, but they were each designed for a different purpose.

Restylane Silk

Restylane Silk is the first FDA-approved filler designed to increase lip fullness and smooth the wrinkles around the mouth.

Restylane Lyft

Restylane Lyft is an FDA-approved filler designed to correct volume definitions in the back of the hands, increase cheek augmentation, and treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.

Restylane

Restylane can be used to add volume and fullness to correct the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth, also known as the nasolabial folds.

Restylane Refyne

Restylane Refyne is designed to smooth out your nasolabial folds and marionette lines while still giving you the flexibility to retain natural movement and expressions.

Restylane Defyne

Restylane Defyne was designed to smooth out the deepest lines around your mouth while still allowing you to retain your natural facial expressions and movements.

Restylane Kysse

Restylane Kysse is designed to add volume, smooth upper lip lines, and reduce wrinkles on the lips. This lip filler allows you to retain flexible movement and natural volume.

What areas can be treated with Restylane?

Restylane can be used to treat a variety of areas of the body safely, including the areas around the mouth, cheeks, lips, and the back of the hands. The location you can treat is dependent on the type of Restylane product used.

Our cosmetic physician will help you determine the best package for your skin needs.

What are the risks and side effects of Restylane?

Restylane is considered a safe, effective treatment, but you may experience some side effects.

Common side effects include swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, pain, and itching. These side effects are temporary and should go away after a few days.
