How TruID^® Works

The treatment eliminates fat by targeting fat cells with radiofrequency energy. The fat is heated until the cells are destroyed. Patients note the treatment feels like a warming hot stone massage, and it will not cause any damage to the skin. The destroyed fat cells are naturally removed from the body through the lymphatic system and treated as waste. This process will not interrupt your daily life and should not be noticeable.

Who is it for?

TruID is a body sculpting treatment that can be enjoyed by both men and women and by people of all ages and skin types. Patients should be adults in good health looking to lose stubborn deposits of fat. What to Expect From Your First Session?

Before you can be treated, you will have a consultation with your TruSculpt Technician to determine if the treatment is safe and effective to meet your needs. If treatment is a safe and beneficial fit to your goal, we can set a treatment appointment. The treatment is carried out at our Flatiron location and you will not be under any medication or anesthetic.

The treatment specialist uses the truSculpt device to treat your target area. You will feel no pain or discomfort as the fat is eliminated and can pass the time reading a book or using a mobile device. When the treatment is concluded, you can immediately return to your normal routine without bruising or scarring.

When Will I See Results?

Eliminated fat cells are slowly removed from the body through natural waste removal. This means that you will not see instant results but a gradual improvement over time. You will experience a noticeable loss of fat between 6 and 12 weeks after the first treatment session. While this may seem like a long wait, it can make the process seem more natural. Most people will assume that your fat loss is the result of a successful diet and exercise plan unless you tell them you underwent treatment.

How Long Is a Session?

A treatment session can be over in as little as 15 minutes. If you are seeking treatment for a larger section of the body, expect a slightly longer treatment time, but sessions are quick.
