FAQs
What can Body PCA Corrective Peels do for your skin?
These advanced corrective peels treat dehydrated skin, remove hyperpigmentation, diminish blemishes, fine lines, scarring, and other signs of aging. Replete with plumping phytohormones such as lactic, azelaic, and kojic acids, the peel delivers refreshed, hydrated, and perfected skin without discomfort or downtime.
Who should get Body PCA Corrective Peels?
Our advanced corrective peels are designed for all skin types and colors. Our clients include everyone from women in their 20s who want to freshen up their appearance and restore their glow, to older women in their 50s who desire a slightly more aggressive peel to tackle aging and sun damage.
The PCA Corrective Peel is also an affordable restorative skin care treatment option for those wanting to look and feel younger, but aren’t ready to spend hundreds of dollars on our advanced laser treatments.
What can I expect during my Body PCA Peel?
Once you are comfortable, we will gently cleanse your face with PCA facial wash to remove any traces of makeup, moisturizer, sunscreen and other substances. We will then use a delicious-smelling toner to prepare your skin for the procedure. Your aesthetician will then begin by brushing the peel over your skin. After a few passes over the skin, the peel will have been successfully applied.
The peel will be removed with a cleanser, and the treatment area will be slathered with a refreshing serum to help the skin recover. You’ll then be given a series of instructions on how to care for your skin over the coming week.
What can I expect after my Body PCA Corrective Peel?
It’s important to follow the aftercare instructions given by your aesthetician in order to ensure the effectiveness of the peel and to avoid any possible hyperpigmentation.
Your skin will potentially peel over the following 3 to 5 days. It is important to avoid picking at the flaky skin because this can lead to hyperpigmentation. We offer a Post-Care Kit that has everything you need to care for your skin after your treatment. You will want to avoid direct sunlight for 1–2 weeks, and avoid letting your skin becoming too warm from other stimuli such as hot showers, steam rooms, saunas, or excessive, sweaty exercise.
